While looking in the garage for a bag of rep' romans I thought I had stashed away I found a whole Hittite army that I started many years ago.
I have some basic infantry with spears , some sea peoples , and some other guys with beards and bad hats etc .

Can anyone give me some idea on a FOG Hittite list ?
How many Chariot bases would I need roughly ?

That is a good question.

The Hittites seemed to use both lighter and heavier chariots with the heavier ones often described as three horse chariots which is rather odd. The DBM Hittite list allows the player to choose between 2 and 3 horse so if you want both options you probably need more chariots to allow it.

Chariots range in cost between 11 and 22 points each and will be in BGs of 4-6. You are therfore looking at realistically a minimum of 12 plus generals and possibly a lot more.

For most of the biblical armies the chariots are the good bit and the foot are generally rubbish.

Fpr what its worth I had 12 bases of Heavy Chariots in my hittite rule test army. Another 8 light chariots of various sorts. 3 BGs of MF Lsp Prot. 2 BGs of UProtMF bow. And a few skirmishers.

I have some stuff here I want to paint.

2 Horse chariots = Light chariots
Sea People allies ?
Basic Hittite spearmen ?
Slingers = LF
Hillmen with bad hats ?
