where is the graphic for the man in the end turn screen? I have search the DDS files and I can't seem to find it. I would also like to change the color or make transparent the info screens. My personal preference of course but I did that mod with my Field of Glory series (which I played thousands of games) games. Minimal UI but much more of the screen showing! Actually I changed every icon .......

Not sure what you mean by the end turn screen. Do you mean the portrait at the bottom of the screen?

If so it is Sideicon0 to Sideicon19 and is found in pikeandshot/data/ui/textures

Making up pairs of these for individual scenarios would be one way of introducing historically accurate leader images into the game. I might make a start on this with the Early Spanish mod I am working on for the Italian Wars battles the Spanish took part in prior to the accession of Charles V.

Well I found the files and after careful editing I now have black areas where the portraits used to be. What I wanted to do is have a "clear" portrait so that so much space wasn't covered by the pictures and I could see through to see more of the battlefield. I would also like to trim down the UI especially the unit description which takes up the whole bottom of the screen sometimes. Just a personal choice you know. I heavily modded the UI in FOG to compliment my playing style and I love the ability to do it. This has been my go to game for the last 2 months. Many thanks!

For a blank portrait that is transparent and you only see the next turn arrow, you need to make a dds file with full black alpha cannel. I can make one for you if you don't know how to.

Here you go. Use this sideicon. This will get rid of the portraits.

To make it work for all games you would need 20 copies of it, named sideicon0.dds to sideicon19.dds

I kinda thought that was the answer. Thanks for replying. Spent the night scanning the boards trying to get a handle of the mods. Lots of really smart people out there. Wish I was one of them!
