Worlds 2015

Looks like The 2015 Worlds will be in Portugal / Lisbon in the middle week in September
The Portuguese hosts would however need someone to offer to umpire and list-check for FoGR in order to run it as a period, as they don't have any local players able to do this.
Given the dates/location are now essentially sorted, is there someone who would be happy to put their hand up for either the checking and/or onsite umpire duties ?
cheers
tim

Would that be as a non-playing umpire or could the umpire participate as well. If the latter then I would be interested.

Question from the boss: do many wives/girlfriends go... And would any be interested in banding together to do sensible things, while the boys play with their toys...

Dave,
Taken from the FOG AM forum: -
"We have now confirmed that The Worlds will be held in Lisbon over the weekend 12-13 September (perhaps including the afternoon of Friday 11th). This is the weekend following ITC in Rome.
The Portugese hosts are now giving thought to finalising the rule sets to be offered, timetable etc and this will be published in due course.
The venue will be the Military Museum next to the Jeronimos Monastery, in the picturesque suburb of Belem, Lisbon. Players who have previously attended the ITC in Lisbon will be familiar with this venue."

This is outrageous - only one hour for the Friday evening meal!
Are they trying to starve us?

Just a reminder that
Portugal hosts The Worlds 2015
Lisbon, 11- 13 September
We at AJSP are very proud to host this year’s edition of The Worlds wargaming event.
We have confirmed so far the following tournaments:
FOG (AM)
FOG (R)
L’Art de la Guerre
Saga
DBA 3.0
X-Wing
The venue is the fantastic Museu de Marinha, located in Belém, one of the main touristic areas of Lisbon.
FOG and FOG(R) tournaments will start on Friday, whilst the other systems will have games on Saturday and Sunday only.
The ticket (which can be acquired through our dedicated website with Paypal) will include catering meals for Saturday and Sunday lunches and, in the case of tournaments with games on Friday, also for an evening meal on this day.
You can find a lot of details like tournament rules, timetables, location, etc. on the website, which will be available in six languages:
http://www.ajsportugal.org/TheWorlds_AJSPortugal/
Gather your army, plan your trip, bring an happy face and you are very welcome to invade Portugal and come to play together.
We’ll do our best to make it an unforgettable experience for you and for us all.

Just noticed a very subtle difference in the wording about artillery for different competitions. In some it is Medium and Heavy Artillery that need 6 Non-Commanded Shot (or Artillery) bases of Foot Battle Troops per base and in some it is just Artillery. Is it intended at The Worlds to restrict all Artillery or just Medium and Heavy Artillery?
