This was a tough and historical match-up. I face Roman armies all the time in our FoG group so, I painted up Dacians as my counter. How did it turn out? Take a look at the full write up on my blog here.

I take it you are still playing version1 of the rules. Mounted and LF cannot sack fortified camps in V2 unfortunately.

Great to see a beautifully presented table. A relatively rare thing these days!

Phil, thanks for the save. During the game, I looked right at the passage in the v2 book that says foot battle troops can sack a fortified camp. Skirmishers are listed as foot battle groups so I thought I was good to go. Today, I found on pg. 18 that skirmishers are not foot battle troops. I won't be going after fortified camps with skirmishers any more.

But your cunning ruse worked and distracted the legion. Excellent tactics
