Hi All,
in the Fog Rule book page 24 under Battle Group Cohesion Levels is this right please,

Steady Battle Group = no marker on the Battle Group,

Dirupted Battle Group = you require a marker of some kind or a Green marker,

Fragmented Battle Group = you require a marker of some kind or a Yellow marker,

Broken Battle Group = you require a marker of some kind or a Red Marker,

Hi CLAVDIVS
You do not necessary need markers you can simply turn one of your elements at a angle to represent Disruption and turn one round for Fragmented.
Most people use coloured markers, and it is what system you prefer.
Andy. :)

If you do use markers there are no specified colours either - whatever works for you :)

I have just taken delivery of a load of dead ancient warriors that I intend making into nice cohesion markers.

I've just posted some pics of dead guys (from Donnington) on my website that I am using as markers - if you are cheap, you can download them and print them out on some card and use them yourself  or you can look at them, realise you can paint them better, and buy some yourself :P

Must look into this as I've thought it was a good idea for some time - mind you I'm finding the little coloured stones as markers pretty unobtrusive which had been my main concern

For ancients I use shields (reaped from 1/72 kits) for markers, painted in various colours--yellow, red and blue--weathered a bit. I have Roman shields for one side and 'barbarian' for the other. I've also use 'discarded' weapons on small bases. At least in the U.S., shops which sell cake decorating supplies often have cheap plastic items which work for makers, terrain etc.

I'm about to try my first play-through of FoG. (Republican Romans vs. Carthaginians.) I like having the choice not to use markers, but I'm waiting to see if the stand placement option is easy to keep straight--no pun intended.
