Option for graphic combat results

I know its not important to gameplay but I was wondering if there was an option for dead bodies, destroyed cannon etc. This would enhance the overall visual effect of a battlefield much like the smoking tanks of BA2. I am assuming not but just curious. Its not a game breaker for me.

There wasn't time to do this prior to finalising the release version, but we hope to add it later in a patch.

Yes, that would add something to the atmosphere and visual realism I think. I would like to see that in a patch.

I'll add another vote for this. The old Great Battles series (Hannibal/Rome/Alexander) did this well.

It would be great to have a slightly different unit graphic showing the degradation for each level of morale.

All chrome though - the game is very enjoyable as is.

Out of curiosity is it technically possible to add this through modding?

I don't care if the actual unit changes it's size or structure from losses (like in FoG II) but I would still love to see bodies get dropped in the areas where fighting/shooting takes place.

P.S. What are the chances you'd ever revisit P&S for one last patch (we never did get elephants)?

I don't see why not. You would need to make dead body objects as terrain objects, and then script them to be placed on the map where and when appropriate.

Certainly not any time soon.

Interesting. That's good to know.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect anything until after Ancients and Medieval had all their DLC released. But it's just some wishful thinking before the long wait for P&S II if that ever gets green lit and you decide to do it.
