Just had my first real MP Game, it was really close
I took the Celts and lost the first match up, he really out deployed me and a unit of Preatrians did real dammage
2nd Game I managed to reverse things and my deployment was much better
In 3rd Game I sat behind a bog and caught him as he advanced but a unit of his Light Horse worked my flank, it must have been level 8 or more as I sent Light Cav and a skirmisher unit against it and then a level 5 Light cav from my reserve. He took them all.
In the end my veterans took out his archers and flanked his last Legion to take the field
My army
Lev8 Gen
2 Fanatics
1 Warrior
2 Spear
2 Noble cav
2 Archers
4 skirmishers
4 Lt Cav
It was a great tussle

Looks like a good army, but I like my infantry-celts seem to get them really cheaply. It looks like you are going for maneveurability, though.

Yeah
I put a lot of points into the Generals Command and Control and gave my mounted Drill Skills
This meant I could manouever my mounted reserves very quickly

I sometimes go for endurance- it really depends. But my low-armor guys get dodge first, up to advanced dodge, if I have enough experience, anyways.

I think it depends on the troops for example I seldom bother with much leveling up on my archers except the targeting skills.
If anyone gets into these guys I figure they are lost anyway. So I spend my points on the heavy infantry to protect them

quick question, are there different servers for Europe and NA? And if not, who wants to set up a MP battle with me. I'm looking forward to a quick win

The only servers are the lobby servers which are US based I believe. But it shouldn't be a problem no matter where you are situated. Beyond that it will depend on the location of the person you are playing, once you peer connect with them

Just out of interest, as I have only played the demo (great game!, btw). How will experience in MP work? Do you accumulate it over multiple fights? is there a mini-campaign for every MP match? Set amount? ty

In MP you choose the amount of experience and gold each side has, then you construct your army (you can also construct armies offline and then use them in MP using the various MP settings). Matches are then best of type affairs, with a number of other options (such as random maps, arcade mode, etc).
Cheers

ty, sounds fun.
Will there be an AAR (After Action Reports) section? I love reading them for the story telling aspect. Personally, it is probably one of the largest reason I play games, for the interactive novel.
