Unofficial Improved Combat Mod

I'm thinking about a mod to improve the combat model.

For now I'm considering:
- add a reaction shot when an enemy vehicle did a simple turn on the same tiles.
- add some smokes on the movements of large tanks:

For now it's working basically but some case (as when the vehicle is destroy before the end of the movement provided by the player) the smoke is displayed wrongly... :oops:

- flee the transport vehicles when they are the target of a reaction shot ; to avoid the kamikaze truck charges. :roll:
- and any suggestions from the community. :wink:

If smoke produced from moving vehicles is to work, I suggest the smoke last only for the current players turn; once the next half-turn starts (i.e. opponents turn), that smoke should be gone. If you see what I mean, that will result in 50% duration of BA1 smoke mod.

Especially for stoping the kamikaze truck attacks a fantastic idea!

Did you think about spending action points every time a self propelled gun rotates? IMHO these sort of vehicles are not well modelled and their limitations are not well represented. You can attack simultaneously with two tanks from left and right, but, if the SPG has enough shots, it can rotate in the same turn and destroy both of them. Not very realistic... please, consider it.
