My Unofficial Improved Engineer Mod is now available for Battle Academy 2!
Download:
http://amaris-games.com/wp-content/plug ... .php?id=57
The documentation is in the code

and you find a short description of the BA1 version of this mod here:
http://amaris-games.com/ba-amaris/improved-engineer/
I don't (yet) set the terraform action but I added an action to remove the wire.

Hi, Amaris
it looks great! How do I install the mod and if some problem comes up, how do I uninstall? Sorry, for maybe making stupid questions but having no modding manual for BA2 makes me feel I am walking through a minefield.

How to use it in my own campaign?
just copy the DATA folder of improved engineer mod in your own campaign’s folder.
Open the TEXT1.TXT file of improved engineer and copy the marked part into your own TEXT1.TXT.
Note the script look the Engineer attrib on the squad.csv to allow (or not) the new action.

Very nice. Seems to do what engineers are designed to do.
How many turns to clear a forest tile?
I assume it can only be used in the unofficial scenarios and campaigns?
Thanks,
Gerry

Terraform is not (yet?) available on BA2 version but if needed I'll add it. You need two turn to turn a forest tile into a ground open tiles ; 1st turn: forest -> marsh, 2nd turn: marsh -> open ground.
Unofficial because this is NOT supported by the BA2 official team. We must understand that these new features can really 'kill' a battle because it was not intended by the designer. So I recommend to use only on battles planned with this scripts.
