I'm playing v0.8.5 Single Player-NASA Campaign, 1600x900 fantastic windowed graphics, Windows 8.1, Intel i3-4150, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 2GB graphics card.

In Q3.1955 while selecting the astronaut center the screen went completely black. The soundtrack continued in the background . . .

I've tested it here by starting a new US campaign from scratch and it seems to be working fine. Can you send me a savefile?

Ok, when I start a new game I will make a point of saving game files, if the condition occurs I will send you the save file.

What is the path where the save file would be stored?

Single-player game, Soviet campaign on Hard, windowed with Fantastic graphics and lowest resolution. 1970.4, doing full LK test in Earth orbit, when mission completes I get BSOD.

Save game not findable on Windows 8.

Which version of the game are you running? The savefiles should be stored in a path somewhere along these lines: C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\MatrixGames\BASPM

I am having the black screen starting either the US or Soviet campaign.
Starting the US or Soviet Sandbox, and GSA campaign/sandbox works fine for me.

I do keep hearing the opening menu music on the background looking at this black screen.

@DWillem, Please check that you're running the latest version of the game (0.8.5 at the time of this writing). Let me know if you're still experiencing issues.

@Kyle, I'll look into this during the week. Apologies I cannot do it right now, but I need to wrap up some other stuff first for the release that has dependencies down the line (I'm finishing the game manual at the moment).

I took a look at this. It was a tricky bug, it seems you scheduled the mission using the Protok KD but then for some reason you assigned the N1 to it. The game was trying to upgrade the N1 after the end of the mission, but couldn't find it in the list of used components. I'll fix the code so that it won't allow you to do that. If you want to continue your game, go to the HQ and reassign the Proton KD to that mission and end the turn.
