New Screenshots for Pike & Shot

Today we are eager to share with you some new screenshots of Pike & Shot, our upcoming turn-based strategy game set during the 16th and 17th centuries. Developed by Byzantine Games and the Lordz Games Studio and designed by Richard Bodley Scott, this is guaranteed to bring an in-depth and plausible recreation of European warfare during the age of pike and shot.

For those of you who missed it, user Aryaman has also prepared a great illustrated AAR on the Slitherine forums. This AAR gives you a great impression of the gameplay and possible tactics in Pike & Shot.

Pike & Shot is currently in beta and will release in October year for PC, with an iPad version following soon after.

I like what I see.

Can't say anything about the gameplay, but at least the graphics team did a great job.

Will there be a demo as mentioned some months ago?

The top picture is the Battle of White Mountain 1620. The others are random maps generated by the "Skirmish" system.

Here are some 17th century depictions of the battle of White Mountain, which illustrate the graphic style we were aiming for:
