engineer functionality

Engineer functionality seems to be rather limited. Would it be possible to add normal tactical functions like demolition and construction of fortifications, houses, bridges and laying/clearing minefields? It looks like engineers are now some kind of super assault forces which was actually not their main task.

The timescale for those kinds of tasks aren't really matched with the game model, but adding that kind of thing in a mod is absolutely possible - I know some of Enric's and Amaris' mods increase the number of things that Engineers can do.

Cheers

Yep, I reckon there are a multitude of mods available. I am a bit careful with unofficial mods and their compatibility with future official upgrades and fixes. Do you have a list of certified and supported mods?

As to fortifications the product info promises trenches. So far I have not found a way to make infantry or engineers dig them. Have I misunderstood something?

In general, BA2 is excellent. Keep up the good work!

Stechkin there are trenches in the game but they are preset, i.e. you cannot build them dynamically they are part of the map terrain. If you play "Leningrad Line" in the Barbarossa campaign you will see (and attack) a trench system in all its glory. :)

The Engineer mod is something found in specific scenarios that use Enric or Amaris code, so there is no compatibility issue unless you are making your own scenarios yourself. FYI
