forum lag / slow down

is there any reason why the board / forum is sooooo slow?
tbh it's next to unusable atm, 18 plus seconds to post or more, mostly time outs atm, have done a ping test and almost dies of old age, so if you say nothing is wrong and it's a routing only issue then i'll say i have already tried chrome, firefox and IE latest, TOR uses proxies so can be slower anyway, but does get away from the local loop / routing issues so have also tried that, no luck with any...
nets fine, all websites are fine, all forums except here are fine, speed test net says great as always 120/20+
have logged out cleared all cookies and retried most of the day, but tbh and very honest at that, the speed has been slow for a few weeks now, at most times of the day, so some error somewhere
