Londo (Medieval German E) 15/36 beat stockwellpete (Arab Conquest) 31/30

Germans took along Swiss allies. When the main line of Arab spearmen came up against Swiss pikes and dismounted German knights, the Arabs took heavy casualties on impact. They were soon reduced below 75%, then disrupted, then they melted away like ice in the Arabian desert.

On the other flank, Arab cavalry initially bounced off German armoured spearmen. They renewed their attacks and the Germans began to crumble, but by then all the Arab infantry were running for the hills and the battle was over.

Thanks to bloodphoenix for a great game, and sympathies for his poor luck. With most of my army deployed to centre and right flank he ought to have been able to break through with his cataphracts, but they performed extraordinarily poorly against my lancers, allowing me to flank his centre. My very weak left flank held out remarkably well, preventing a sizeable portion of bloodphoenix's army wrapping round my centre and giving him a major advantage.

A victory all the same (a rare treat for me), but one owed to the God's of luck rather than skill.

In the battle of the Anzac Pshyco's I the Superior Kiwi playing later Golden Horde 24/29 dragged back a 20/29 to 14/34 deficit to trounce the hapless Wallaby Claymore 34/34 even though he sulkily attempted to use 6 stands of Swiss plus a Ally General in his Early German Med army

The reality is I got lucky on one side causing a cascade of his avg and poor def spear, then ran like buggery to stay away from the pikes and knights while also thankfully surviving 3 turns of LF in contact with my camp...pure cheese for sure but I'll take it!@!

Frighteningly close this one. Scots used their numbers to great effect to swamp and overrun several Persian positions but the Persians won by missile fire attrition and heroic cavalry. Thanks for a good game.
