Warfare 2014 FOG R

Gentlemen,

Two FOG R fellows have entreated me recently for details of the FOG R competition at Warfare. The information they sought is published on the competitions page of the WAR website, but may be easily overlooked for those more used to the technical marvels of, say, the BHGS.

Please can the gentlemen-players of the Renaissance period make your presence known by entering the competitons as soon as possible, both because Mr Thompson has ruminated upon withdrawing any competition/theme not at least half-filled by 1 October, to make space for other more popular themes, and of course in previous years we have reluctantly had to refuse entry to late-comers. Book now to avoid either diverse fate!

The link on the page is found by scrolling down to the section headed:

"DOWNLOAD PDF BELOW FOR MORE DATAILS OF FOG AND DBMM

/company/67/395/files/Warfare%202014%20FOG%20and%20DBMM%20competitions%20(1).docx"

Or, even easier:

FOGR (Regnans in Exelcis - 15mm, 800points, 6’x4’-ish tables) – 32 places
Armies and the options chosen must be dated before 1570. No Battle Troops with Musket, Musket*, Salvo or Impact Pistol may be used.

I will have the honour to be your list-checker once again, and remain your humble servant,

Tim Child

Call me more obtuse than the average wargamer  , but I'm damned if I can see anything on the W.A.R. website that tells me how to enter the competition.

I suspect a cunning plan to get extra tables for the incredibly popular WFB  .

Go to the WAR competitions page (http://www.wargamesassociationreading.c ... ns-24.html).

On the right is the shopping cart summary. Immediately beneath that is a link saying "Warfare competitions". Clicking on that takes you to the page where you put stuff into the cart.

The "checkout" button at the top right of that page (again, underneath the cart summary) takes you to where you put your £15 down.

Cheers,

Tim Child

Dave,

If you look hard enough, it even tells you who has entered.

Yes I have.
