Here is my Swiss army right now:
4x6 stand BG Pike
1x6 stand BG Halbard
2x4 stand BG crossbow
2x4 stand BG handgun
1x2 stand BG Light horse w/handgun
1x4 stand BG Lorranier Knight heavy cavalry
1x Light artillery
1x Head cheese
2x Minions

This is for around 1492 instead of the early Swiss army.

Not bad but it needs more pike

How much more pike?
1 more BG? or make each BG bigger?
I want to start using 600-650 point games (Kind of hope that the tourney in Chicago is that size).
I plan to maybe go 800 but I still want to build a 28mm Marion Legion and maybe a 15mm EIR. I already have about 1500 points of painted 28mm Samurai.

Pikes in 6s ? Is that allowed ?

Pike BGs are from 8 to 12 stands each. So I'm thinking at the very least 4 x 12?

If you run the pike as three BGs of 8 stands and add two stands of light horse (ideally crossbow) then you will have about 600 points.

Add another 8 stands of pike and it will be around 650

That's more crossbow than I think you need unless you are bulking up.

Looks OK to me. This will let you field 650 points, possibly a bit more and is a good basis for a larger force should you want to expalnd it.

What king do stout BTW
