What would you recommend for filling gaps in metal castings? I have never had much success with Milliput.

A friend who makes his on 15mm figs uses solder I believe but then he solders on his bayonets made in pewter when the main figure is in a different alloy. But I have no skills that area.

Thanks MDH but my last outing with a soldering iron left a lasting grove in my finger.

I had reasonable success with the GW "green stuff", it cures to a smoother finish than the milliput though it can be a little difficult to get the consistency right for workability. Plus it can be cut with a knife once it has cured, so slightly over-fill then pare it down once it has set.

Hi Bob,

for narrow gaps try liquid green stuff (gw). Comes in a paint pot, just paint it on (its like thick paint)
