I am currently on version 0.7.24 and my autoupdater doesnt work. Since the latest patch (24.2 and 25) are not uploaded on the ftp site, I am stuck.
Is there any way for me to fix my autoupdater without reinstalling from scratch? I know this problem existed somewhere in the beginning of early access and it got fixed by you guys in a patch.

I'm sorry that you are having problems with the updater. In this case it looks like the updater itself is crashing. Normally this is fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but if you are not wihsing to do this, then there is another way of getting the update. If you have a Matrix Games Member's Account then you can log in and download the patch from the Member's area. When you have logged in, you will see a list of games. Find Buzz Aldrin's SPM in the list, and click the Registered button. This will bring you to the downloads page and you can download the V0725 update from that page.

If you do not have a Member's account, please visit the below link and use the email address and password from your Slitherine account to log in, then ensure you have the game registered to your Matrix Member's account and follow the steps above.

I can add that uninstalling and re-installing did not fix the problem for me. As I mentioned in my other post the updater updates itself, then after this update, the updater then throws up the aforementioned error.
So from my point of view, there is a problem with the update to the updater itself.

I can confirm that the solution you pointed to looks like it has worked.
Even though I have manually updated the game, the updater would still throw up the above error.
After applying the updater fix, the updater now works correctly.
