To give an idea of what can be achieved with these rules,as mentioned we've just finished 3rd at the Burton doubles Themed Storm of Arrows(High Medieval)
Not wanting to get involved in pike on pike action etc I went for a very different Condotta list:- 6BG's ( 4'S) Knights 2 undrilled superior 4 drilled average,5 BG LF (6'S) 2 firearm,2crossbow,1 bow, 3BG LH (4's)2 crossbow ,1 bow and 1 BG MF (6) skilled swords with the addition of an IC,FC and 2 TC.
The plan was to skirmish and break up any protected BG and put the knights where needed,we also used a flank march in 3 out of 4 games.
We ended up with 1 draw against French ordance 1 nearly disaster against same led by eventual winner Bruce Brown and 2 wins by breaking the opposition 100yrs war English and Low Countries
The skirmishers were responsible for at least 3-4 BG killed in each game (apart from the 1st that was 2 dead each)

What I would have done for a single BG of light horse lancers.....

In out last game we lost three BG's to LF bow and handgun, OK, there were a lot of LF and there really was nothing we had on that flank that could counter them. Northern border horse, LF killers par exellence mmm.

I was quite impressed with the army. Even at 1000pts there was enough room combined with the terrain to create a neat corner on our left flank where you could get three or four BGs of LF shooting at our end unit. In the end we had to commit a BG of Drilled Superior Knights to protect the flank of our Pikes. In the end we lost that BG to a combination of shooting and follow up charge by knights.

A single BG of LH would never have been enough - it would have been overwhelmed by volume of fire. I very nearly put a unit of Longbow and Knights on that side of the table to attack the LF. Fortunately after about 5 minutes of dithering my spider sense told me it was a bad idea. Which was a good thing as David had flank marched on that side and it came on turn 1!

Very scary army with 24 bases of knights!
