Hi

Here is another list I have translated from the DBM equivalent on a best-guess basis. I'd be interested in any comments.

Tarascan or Toltec-Chichimec

Generals- IC/FC/TC
Suit wearers- HF, protected, superior, drilled, light spear, swordsmen, 6-8 bases per BG (based on the shower of atlatl missles before a charge, not sure if they should be superior)
Archers with shield bearers- MF, protected, average, drilled, bow, 6-8 bses per BG. (shield bearers adept at blocking attacks hence protected, drilled because they are regular in DBM :) )
Archers- MF, unprotected, average, undrilled, 6-8 bases per BG. (standard archers with no armour)
Slingers, LF, unprotected, average, undrilled, sling, 6-8 bases per BG (standard)
Otomi- MF, unprotected, superior, undrilled, impact foot, swordsmen, 6-8 bases per BG. (these had no real armour but were elite troops)

OK, this is the Tlaxcaltecs or Tarascan list (otherwise known as Toltec-Chichimec), peers of the Aztecs, rather than the post-Classic Toltecs, who preceded the Aztecs.

It's good for a first cut. I'm not too sure there were such things as shield bearers. Heath doesn't mention them. Diaz talks about them being uniformed as well (liveries) so the warriors may all be regular.

It would be a good opportunity to look at Hassig and Heath when building lists. This list in particular, as there is a great difference between the Tlaxcaltecs and the Tarascans, they being completely different people.

Must find time to look at the Incas.

No it is not. Ideas can not be copyrighted, only the expression of those ideas.
