Version 0.7.23 quick soviet sandbox playthroughs

Ok, I was mostly out there to test stuff (doesn't mean I did not have fun).
First playthrough was mostly a "hey let's see how's stuff doing" one. I opened various programs and rocket combinatons I rarely if ever tried before. I tried to send everything that's possible with the lunnik rocket to see if it works well - and it did no bug. I encountered two Voskhod related bugs that got reported and decided to make a new playthrough.
The second playthrough was a serious "sprint" to the moon game - no secondary objectives at all. I did manage to send a moon landing mission in 4.1968 (and with high reliability 95-92% stuff), but had a very bad roll (random number = 1) that caused a catastrophic event killing the crew.
Determined to push forward, I launched a second moon landing attempt at 1.1970, only to face yet again a catastrophic event (this time on the way back to earth). Random number was higher this time, but this was my backup crew and they were not really all that up tp the task. At this point I really gave up (I had no relaly good cosmonauts left and rebuilding the program would take some 3 years or so).
Lessons learned:
1) A soviet moon landing in late 1968 is possibe within the framework of the game (it was really bad luck that did me in, I remember sucessfull landings before with lower reliability rates).
2) You can be doing great for 99% of the game, but bad luck can really do you in on the last streach. This is consistent with what I learned in my last NASA playthrough.
