Threatened Flank

If an enemy unit is in a position where it threatens a units flank is the flank still classed as threatened if the unit doing the threatening charges into the said flank? i.e. Is a unit contacted in flank considered to have a threatened flank? Personally I think it does but once the unit causing the threat has charged in it is no longer in a position to charge the flank and so, according to the definition, the flank is not threatened.

A question on the -POA for 'Fighting enemy in two directions'. Does this modifier apply to the whole BG or just to the files of the BG that are fighting in two directions?

Thanks

Mike

Once a flank has ben charged the charging BG is no longer threatening the flank. The -POA in melee for fighting in two directions is considered enough of a penalty. If another BG threatens a flank or rear charge then the threatened flank modifier will again apply.

Pus of course often an immediate drop to DISR as well. So think threatened and flattened respectively ! :)
