Java is distributed and installed with the game automatically so you should not need to reinstall it. What OS and machine spec do you have?

But will the supplied version install if the user has one already installed? And Java can have it own bugs from time to time...

It is distributed as a folder with the game and game will use it by priority.

After installation, there should be a folder named "jre" in the directory where you installed game. Does it exist on your machine?
What virus protection software do u use? We had issues before with ppl having to disable their virus protection in order to make the game install correctly.

hello,

I have the same problem, the game doesn't start and I got the massage "JVM could't be started". So what can I do, I also have installt a new java Version ... but it doesn't work I also tried it with an older one (1.5 JRE) but it still doesn't work.

So can anybody help me, because I even didn't know where's the problem and why this game doesn't work an why it even needs JVM ... I even didn't know what JVM is, I only know where I can get it ... but why could't it be started!!!

So please if anybody have an idea what I can try ... so tell it me - I'm a little bit helpless.

If you guys are using Vista, could it be that the installer needs to be run as Administrator in order to correctly install the Java VM?

Just trying to think of solutions...

Cheers

Can you tell us who Gamesload is and a link to their site so we can find out if this is a real copy of the game.

Elfer, Grisha, Holger.
Since there are many versions and publishers of Commander Europe at War we would like to get more info to be able to track down errors. The following questions might help to categories the problem

1) From what site did you buy the game?
2) What form of the game did you purchase, (digital or boxed or both)?
3) Does the game include a printed manual and if so in what language?
4) Was there any demo mode a.k.a to try out before purchase (and if so was it only digital or did they send a box after purchase)?
5) Did a system restore solve the problem to make the game work?
6) What OS are you using?

Hi Hashishin

Did the game include a manual.pdf and/or printed manual and if so in what language? There are several languages built for Commander Europe at War so it is important for us to know what language versions are giving ppl problems.

Hi firepowerjohan

its the german german. It includes the manual as .pdf version.
I also wrote a email to gamesload but didint get a helpful respond.

Sidenote:
I have java1.50_15 to java1.60_07, atm not the 1.40 version but in manual it is said Java comes in game as it should be.
As I said i have the Java files listed below. Maybe you can help but i am sure it has something to do with the gamesload version.
Also i am using XP and have a good PC.
Even disabled virusscanner - didnt help.

Does the gamesload version not come in a trial form that you can try out and then offered to purchase? Does the purchase offer only digital version with no box or printed manual?

No Trial Form, Only Download format and only a pdf for manual - basicly only a digital version of the game.

We're still trying to find out who Gamesload are and why they are selling our game. They obviously have built the installer incorrectly, so if its legit they need to fix it.
