I think I wrote this one before, but now I found an image that reassembles my previous thoughts.
How about to colorize Solar System when you go to Mission Center? It would be nice to have it in color, and animate motion of certain celestial body as you hover mouse pointer over it.
Shouldn`t be hard for the graphics guys Below there is a screen which actually originated the whole idea.

Don`t get me wrong, its just the solar system image now is just too blue
Of course for better game play, a scale should be adjusted accordingly.

Indeed, our UI artist got the idea for the Solar System from the image you linked! I remember I discussed the colours with him long ago and he told me he preferred to keep the blue tint in order to make it consistent with the rest of the UI and I was happy with his decision, so for the moment we'll leave it as it is.
