Where and when do you play... football world cup issue ;-)

Hi,

where and when do you usually play PC? When I played PC for the first time it was on my local maschine at home. Since 3 month I am playing the east-campain on iPad. Usually I do this on my train ride to work. It usually takes me a complete 40min trip in the moring to analyse the map, plan the core, deploy units and perform turn 1-3.
On my way home I am usally able to reach the turn over from pure defending to the counter attack but I always need to finish the scenario at home... in front of the TV. And it is no good idea watch sports in parallel . I get detracted from playing so often while watching the world cup in Brasil that I need to save/ reload scenarios quite often, I make terrible mistakes when watching Luis Suarez kicking out England

I am currently in the last scenarios of 44-East (Vilnia) and it is quite hard to do the initial deployment on the train - even with lots of coffee. Deployment and trun 1-3 is the most critical phase of a scenario. Any mistake can lead to really bad results and I need to focus on the game more than I am able to do (in the train or while watching a football match). I guess I should make a break until the finals.

Regards,
J

Well, I don't exactly play it much anymore - I've conquered the USA, stopped at Gazala, raged at Crusader and gotten bored of Korsun and Bayeux. Instead I mod, officially for 3hrs/day, but effectively 24hrs - Even while playing Mario on a bus (it thought of a Courland 1915 battle there once)

I don't watch the World Cup, mostly 'cause it's on at nighttime for me, but also due to my lack of interest in sporting. So one less pain (but 2 mroken mods to fix instead)

...I still need to test your mod. I am lacking of a Windows PC right now to make use of my Win-PC license and play the mod. But as soon as I ahve the chance I will...

I wouldn't consider me lucky right now. 2 of my Mods broke a couple of days ago, which is annoying as I'm trying to release GC14 next week.

Distractions like movies or sports mean death for your core. So i make sure to play without any of those distractions. In fact I usually wait until the rest of the family are in bed before loading up. The problem I find though is that each map takes me so long to finish. I would estimate that it takes me on average about 2.5 hours to finish each map. And by the end I’m usually really tired and sometimes make dumb moves. I really need to take quicker turns, but when I tried doing this I would invariably forget to move a unit or make some other dumb positioning mistake.
