Bravo Slitherine, great game

Long ago I played a few levels of Allied General, didn't get too much into it because I never figured out the mechanic too well to be honest.

I heard about Panzer Corps and was messing around with Open Panzer but wasn't too impressed. $20 seemed damn high, and the number of DLC add-ons seemed outrageous. Even now it does seem a bit pricy to be honest. So I decided to try out Panzer Corps in a less than savory manner so to speak...

It seemed pretty damn good. Then I looked on the Steam forum and checked out the reviews, I saw one bad review, the others praising it. Then I read Slitherine's response to the bad review. Damn good style in regards to the response.

I bought the iPad version immediately after that. While I still feel it is a TAD pricey DLC wise, I was glad to purchase and support a dev team of that caliber. Enjoying the game quite a bit, although I'm still fumbling with the mechanics of it all (Don't suppose there is an in-depth explanation of how it all works?)

So I just wanted to post on here and say thanks and good form. You've earned a long time customer.

I suggest you to visit the Scenario Design sub-forum. The modders there will give you additional hundred of hours of fantastic gameplay.

Your experience looks quite similar to mine. I played Panzer General in the 90s. Some friends of mine where really experts and pushed me to play also. I did also not get into it but when I noticed a year ago that there is a new game released that is based on good old PG I just tried to play it again.

By reading the posts from the forum you get the most helpfull suggestions and solutions - it is better than any documentation or help page.

You should have a look at the FAQ: viewtopic.php?f=121&t=27283
Some other interesting topics for beginners are:
- unit overstrength: viewtopic.php?f=121&t=50525
- Anti-tank or tank: viewtopic.php?f=121&t=49773
- Transport ofinfantary: viewtopic.php?f=121&t=49575
- Infntary: viewtopic.php?f=121&t=48501
... just search for any campain, unit or problem - you will find very good advice alway.

There was one interesting post about collecting a high amount of prestige in the early campains (by not replacing in-game but between scenarios, green-replacement only until 41/42) and about the best core unit choice in early campains (infantery instead of Tanks in 39, etc.) I cannot find the post anymore but I remember it was linked in some FAQ post.

Thank you so much! I wonder, are mods possible on the iPad version?
