Would someone please tell me where I can obtain a copy of the manual for EAW?

I made a mistake when I assumed it would be with the disk when it arrived.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

It's in pdf form in your CEAW directory, called "manual" :)

I'm pretty sure Matrix ships them in the box, and as we don't sell boxed copies I can't see how you don't have one?

Well it does if you pay an extra $10 for the box and then shipping on top of that :)

Oh, ok. If it's like that then I don't want a printed manual after all :)

Look I still can't find the thing. I am starting to regret buying this game. All of the excitement and joy is being sucked out. I admit this is a stupid problem to have, but it is still a problem.

There is no manual in the box and I DO NOT have a pdf file for it.
Does it make a difference a difference if I a running a mac?

About to go crazy. For a purchase price totaling more than $63.00 I would expect someone to print and include instructions. Or was the extra $2.00 for printing too much ? No box, no retail middle man, no advertisement costs, In fact there seems to be very little overhead at all apart from development. I am VERY disappointed.

THIS MAY WELL BE THE LAST PRODUCT I WILL BE PURCHASING.

If you have the Mac version you should contact the Mac publisher about it, AFAIK the Mac version is a conversion done by an outside company and don't think the actual game devs had anything to do with it. If you want I can also send you the pdf version of the manual if you let me know your email address. That said the game is really worth it and easy to learn, tutorial should be enough to get you started. :)

Wow, the Mac version is expensive. I understand your frustration, still as I said - you're directing it at a wrong company.

Ahhh, yes. We did not develop the MAC version :)

Freeverse, the MAC publisher, did not include a manual, but I think have since released a manual from their website. I'm sure they'll help you out if you ask over at their forum - http://forum.freeverse.com/viewforum.php?id=11.

As for costs, I think you need to understand how long it takes to develop this sort of game and what the PC market is like these days. The guys making this will not get rich on it because not enough people buy these games any more. As for printing up a manual, its not the cost of it, it's the logistics. Warehousing, layout, print setup, small print tuns, dispatch, postage etc etc. This is fine if the volume of sales is high enough but for a niche game like this you can't keep a team of fulfilment people busy.

Here's even a post about the manual - http://forum.freeverse.com/viewtopic.php?id=1480 (though it's about downloadable Mac version)

Of corse you are right. I apologize for marginalizing the difficulty in game development. As far as I can tell so far I am sure I will enjoy it. For the record I appreciate everyones help and advice. I am just frustrated. I am sure it is right in front of me i am just not finding it. I am also sure I will find it if given enough ime.

again thank you
