Suggestion - Astronaut Training

Hi Guys,

I find it VERY difficult to meet the "Leadership 90" Goal in the game.

This is for several reasons including:

Cannot recruit Astronauts until Astronaut Office is built - 2 Seasons

- Really? - it was just Office space, and they were doing BASIC TRAINING for the first YEAR

If you are not offered "Smart" Astronauts or with low initial Leadership score.

- Astronauts with a low learning ability just WILL NOT make it - I failed with an
Astronaut with a Leaning ability of 53 and an initial Leadership of 70 - just CANNOT learn fast enough.
I have not yet had an Astronaut with a Learning ability around 80 that has had an
initial Leadership above 66 - that is a VERY steep hill to climb.

These guys were the Cream of the Military at the time and so I think a little start bias in at least the
First 7 is not unrealistic. Also other skills below about 55 really should NOT be the case. I had one
guy who had a Fitness of 29! As a Test pilot what was he testing - in-flight Catering?

4 Seasons for subsequent Advanced Training is too long.

- I think 2 Seasons is better with lesser increases. This would stop the number of times that
my Astronauts who DID have a chance to meet the Goal were not still Training when the Goal
Deadline passed. Although NONE of my Astronauts WOULD have passed even with this implemented
so far. Actually on thinking - Apart from Basic training - All other training for ALL staff should be
in 2 Season blocks.

Ok - I hope this feedback helps.

Cheers!

Then you'll be happy to know that the goal has been downgraded to 80

Thanks for the feedback. This has been a subject of debate, if you played early version, the astronauts had excellent skills right from the start. Which killed the point of gaining experience through missions. But we probably went too far on the other extreme.

That's an interesting point. Notice that a lot of player already complain about too much micromanagement (having to train and retrain personel). If we lower the number of seasons to 2, we'll have to do it for SET too, and I fear this will become even worse.
