Hi guys

we've had a lot of questions about how the system works so we're trying to put all the info in one place.

If you have bought Close Combat Gateway to Caen from us you will have a serial. This serial is all you need to get your Steam key. The way the system works is you register your serial and then we issue you a Steam key.

NOTE THE SYSTEM WILL BE ACTIVATED ONCE THE GAME RELEASES ON STEAM - June 6th !

You'll be able to generate a Steam key for the game and you'll be able to activate it on Steam.

Once you have registered a serial a button will appear to generate a Steam key. Click the button and the page will update to show your key. This page will track all the Steam keys you have redeemed.

We've tried to make it as universal as possible so it works for everyone no matter where they bought and will work for future releases. We've tested it thoroughly but as always when new software hits the wild there can be issues so if something goes wrong let us know and we'll get to fixing it ASAP.

"Error 48: Serial Number Already Registered"

I registered in the game and now when I try to register on your site I get the above error message. Please help.

If you already registered your serial you just need to redeem your key.

Iain, I already tried that, and got the error above. It just shows "register key" and then when I input the key I get the error above. Something is going on with all the merging of accounts. Can you please give me a Steam key? You can confirm my order on the Matrix website.

It sounds like you have registered the serial to a different account accidentally but support will help you out.

I got my game from the Matrix web site.
I understand the steps needed to activate GWTC at Steam (I think)

But to be honest I don't really know if its necessary.
I just got Steam a few months ago and to be honest I've never used it.
I only got Steam cause it seemed the only way possible to patch up Company of Heros after my PC crash.

Am I using Steam to play GWTC At Steam?
Or is it just to buy/find people who play the games I like?

Is registering my GWTC game good for me,or is it gonna make it difficult for me?
Old timer here so I'm just not sure or well informed about this Steam thing.

It makes no difference at all really. Some people just like to have their games in their Steam library. If you don't want to do that then just forget about it and nothing changes. The game code is exactly the same so there is no advantage to a Steam version. It uses the same lobby as the non steam version.

I was always wondering, does it cost you money when a customer redeems such a Steam key? If it does, i'd rather not do it, I'm fine with the download version.

I got my Steam key for CC: Panthers in the Fog, but I can't figure out how to actually redeem or activate the game on Steam.

Can somebody point me in the right direction?
