Slitherine

I'm having trouble installing. First tried with the CD, then with the download file. Got farther with the download file, but wind up with the following error window:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Sliterine\Commander Europe At War Grand Strategy\image\commander\kuchler_64.png
A decompression error has occurred (#5)

Could not open output file

Any ideas on how to overcome this?

Maybe something is interfering with the installtion of the game. Try installing the game in Windows Safe Mode.

Please follow the tutorial below on how to enter in safe mode with Windows 8:

Thanks for the help! The install eventually worked after I set-up a new account on the laptop and started from scratch.
