Insane Slow/freeze

Hey all.
When i play the game, as the game moves foward, it takes more time for the AI to do his turn, and sometimes had mini freezes before resuming its turn. However, since the patch-The AI can take up to 30-40 min to do 1 turn, it has much bigger freezes before resuming, and when its not freezing, its taking a long long long time. Its really annoying, pretty much unplayable. Im thinking of refunding.... (i dunno if the small garrison addon is among the reason, since it adds a lot of units and that the AI abuses it hardcore (which i think its a really stupid addon)) Note that it does a lot more when i play the central powers (since it has less amount of units.) but still affects it regardless of the faction taken.

Please download and use the latest new 1.5.1 patch, it should have solved this issue.

Same problem here! Right now AI is making his turn and I've got plenty of time to post this massage. My drivers are up to date and I've got latest patch today. But the AI turn is "insane slow"!

Hi David,
Could you post your hardware configuration here please, close any other programs running in the background.
CTGW is a heavy calculating game, so can strain on memory budget.
And is this on a new started scenario or an old save game?
When you start a new game, do you experience the same?

Hello!
Sure! Win 7 64 - i7 960, memory 6 gb. nvidia GTX 580, hdd 2 tb.
It's happen after I update the game and start new scenario in 1915. There are no problems about 20/25 turns and then AI turn became more longer, last time I gave up waiting and cut it from the process and start a new one. It is just the beginning but so far no problem, we'll see what happen than.
I'll keep you inform about my last game.

And here we go! New game, turn number 49 and another endless turn. Fortunately I've got save file to send and I assume the dxdiag file also. Where do I have to send it?

When you restart the game and load the save and end turn, can you repeat this, or does the game continue?
You can attach a zip here with the upload attachment option. What we ideal need to analyse:
How to get a Directx Dialog file:
1. click on "START"
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice
6. open the text file, copy the contents, and post along with your issue.
How to get the ctgw.log file:
If you ever get an error or crash, please attach the ctgw.log file to your report, this will help us identify the problem. It's more useful if the error is during the AI turn, but it would be good for you guys to get used to uploading these logs. The logs are in your Documents, so the default is "My Documents\My Games\Commander The Great War"
Even if you're reporting a bad move by the AI, it would be helpful to see the log as this gives us a much clearer idea of what was going on when the issue occurred.
IMPORTANT: This log is overwritten every time you start the game. Please make a copy of the log after any crash/bug you want to report before reloading the game.
How to get the autosave/save file:
Autosaves/saves can also be useful, especially if you can repeat the bug from the autosave/save. These are also in "My Documents\My Games\Commander The Great War\Save"
IMPORTANT: This autosave file is overwritten every time you press end turn. Please make a copy after any crash/bug you want to report before pressing end turn again.
NOTE: Please put your attachments in a .zip or .rar format, before you upload it here on the forum, if not, it will not upload at all.
If you follow these steps it will make it a lot easier for us finding the problem, fixing it and getting you up and running asap!
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately it doesn't. Game crashed at turn 49.
All you need is in the .rar file.

Thank you guys! I know you did it right! I believe in you!))
You know, you did a great game! Just can't wait DLC (it can cover period of 1913 to 1920 and it might
contain "what if" campaign, just imagine, lead the history in your own way. For example: Russia join the
central powers, Entente didn't work out and countries join randomly to the fighting countries!)
It is indeed a great game and great material don't leave it without expansion!
