1 dice per 3

I'd just like to check what losing 1 dice per 3 means. When is the rounding done?

If I'd 2 dice and must lose 1 per 3 do I loose 1 or 0 dice?

Similarly for shooting. One dice per 3 bases - how many dice should I get for 4 and 5 bases firing?

(I think we're doing it right but I just want to check)

Thanks

Mike

0 die and 1 die IIRC.

You figure out what your losses are first. Mostly (maybe even all) numbers in FoG are rounded down.

5 Dice = 5 / 3 Dice lost = 1.66 = 1
Therefore you use 5-1 = 4 Dice.

2 Dice = 2 / 3 Dice lost = 0.66 = 0
Therefore you use 2-0 = 2 Dice.

What I do is put all dice I'm going to roll on the table and take out 1 for every 3 dice. Visual and easy to remember and get right.

Yes the 1 dice per 3 is best thought of literally as that.

So remove every 3rd dice. If there is no 3rd dice (ie only 2 to be rolled then don't remove one). If 8 dice - remove 3 and 6.

etc
