I bought Battle Academy on Steam Can I still buy the Megapack of campaigns with the discount, without the main game being registered here and then wait for the steam code there by getting it cheaper then waiting for the steam release?

I have the Steam version too and tempted by the Easter discount, bought the Megapack, assuming that Steam Keys would be available on the 23rd. However, the Megapack won't install, with error message "The Upgrade requires a different version of the program". So you should wait before buying.

Note that on the Megapack page it says only that "Battle Academy" is required, not "Battle Academy bought only from Slitherine". If it is the case, there really should be a warning that it does not work with Steam versions. I'm hoping that when Steam keys are released, I can use those to download via Steam and that I haven't wasted my money....

The Megapack will work fine with the Steam version once the expansions release on Steam. If you only have the Steam version installed, then the Megapack updater will not find any installed version to update (and it couldn't anyway, as the Steam version requires a different EXE, and Steam updates games automatically via their launcher).

Once the expansions are live on Steam, the serials(s) you got via the Megapack can be used to get Steam keys for the expansions on Steam. If you want to play in the meantime, you will need to install the Slitherine version too.
