I love the subjects that you guys pick for games (panzer corps) field of glory but the combat mechanisms suck . They make no sense at all light skirmish infantry in the open in field of glory taking two hvy infantry and a cav and a skirmisher before they rout (they were average unprotected ) that has happened more than once . cavalry with lance frontally charging pikemen and breaking through in two rounds of combat . panzer corps is just as bad ,memorizing the sequence when a bad attack happens so you can negate its effect is not a Tactic .That is a bad combat matrix . How many time have I had a unit at full strength be taken down 40% when I hold all the advantages one or twice in game I can go with random results but five or six times in the course of a single battle is just a bad system . Hence forth I have uninstalled every game I have purchased from you .Iam done to death with your poorly executed games

Looking at all your posts, I see you do nothing but talk about "troops you hate" and things you dislike. Is there anything you like?

If light infantry defeated 2 heavy infantry units then you were either very very very unlucky (to be honest its so unlikely that its almost impossible) or there were other factors you overlooked such as cohesion, terrain etc. If you can find a more realistic simulation of ancient warfare i'd be very interested but I don't know of one. Why not post your comments in the games forum where the player will be able to show you where you went wrong.

I agree with the comment on Panzer Corps. Sometimes I feel like the terrain isn't as important as the units. Heavy tanks can dominate everything.
Try Unity of Command.
The combat outcome is closely based on the terrain and supply of a unit.
It's also pretty to look at, has great AI, and has a somewhat realistic logistical system tied into physical supply lines.
