Inrteresting German Partisan unit

Had something new happen in my current game. Got my first German partisan unit. The way it happened was miraculous. On the turn Poland surrendered a German partisan korps appeared in Danzig! (I don't want to hink what the odds of that ever happening are, but I suspect there's a LOT of snowballs in a very hot place right now). Unfortunately I didn't think to take a screen shot when it happened, but here's a screen shot from the current turn.

What's wrong with this picture?
How did German partisans come to wear Russian uniforms?
More of an interesting anamoly in the system than a bug, but worth a look.

I think all partisans wear Russian uniforms currently. I don't usually notice, as play with counters instead of sprites

Here's a fun fact for the german partisan and why it is gold to get it. It doesn't require supply. That makes it a unit uniquely suited to suicidal amphibious invasion. For example, scap flow is often left vacant but any unit landing will starve if the mainland isn't take. Not the partisan! How bout a long shot invasion of Canada? With luck it can slip into the st.lawrence and land near Quebec unnoticed. At best you take Quebec - the nose of the camel for later if the allies don't take steps to eliminate it, or at worst the allies are forced to waste 15 PP buying a useless garrison to counter. Or a diversionary landing during sealion? No need to devote a surface unit to supply the invasion!
