Can't install patch 1.22, pc version

The download and unpacking went fine, when run it only shows an 'launcher error' window with 'cannot open setup file'. I'm on up to date windows 7, 32bit.
Any solutions?
Also the game tends to crash ever more often when moving a unit. When closed, quite a few (usually 20+) AC3 codec icons are active in system tray.

Sorry to hear you are having problems with Panzer Corps.
Regarding the first issue issue it seems that something corrupted your game installation during the update.
Try to download the update again. This time downloads it from the link below:
ftp://ftp.matrixgames.com/pub/PanzerCor ... e-v122.zip
Unzip the downloaded file. Run the extracted file to update the game. Run the game and check if the issue persists. IF that's the case than it's better to uninstall and reinstall the game again.
Your second issue is likely caused by the installation of a external codec pack in your Windows (eg.: K-Lite). The game don't have any sound encoded with ac3 codec. Most of this codec packs usually tend to break Windows MCI, which is a Windows component that the game needs for playing the game sounds. Usually you solved the issue by uninstalling the offending codec pack.
Alternately, you can also try the Steam version of the game. This version is using a different sound system so your both issues (sound problem and the installation) might be fixed. You would need to redeem Steam keys and install Steam client application for installing and run the game in Steam.

Thanks for the quick reply )
I have tried downloading the patch from different sources and it still didnt work. It seems that the game installation might be corrupted, I guess I'll try downloading the game again, I'm not a big fan of steam tbh. If I uninstall and then install PC will I have to do the same with grand campaign?

The installation should be solved.
But the sound not. Unless you uninstall the codec pack.

It's all fine now.
As for the ac3 crash issue - deinstalling ac3 codec might have helped - crashes are much less common now. They do still happen though, this could be related to my external sound blaster xi-fi usb card, it does cause a few glitches apart from PCorps.
Patch installation - it worked when I copied it to pcorps installation directory.
