Why so a generalizied combat codes for the units. For Land unit it's okay.

The second dillema for me for PG and it successors is: Strategic bombers are good vs navy etc.

The Payload for Aircraft is very variable. More Bomb load, torpedos and the german fighter in their Kanonboot configuration. More Config's for the player and more realistic combat values for units.

That make scenarios like Midway very realistic. Like Nagumo, Torpedos or not to be torpedos...

For navy unit's is the same combat codes o.k., but OoB Pacific and Panzer Corps are not a game like world in flames or other counter games with nato symbols.

This Genre of games make difference with Panzer IB and the King Tiger. Aircraft have varying perfomances with their payload. Speed, good vs navy etc. It make a difference when i give a fighter a bomb or a extra fuel tank. Why not for this game?

Who said we're not distinguishing in aircraft performance? The game features over 100 different aircraft types and variations. Operational range (fuel level), ground attack, bomber interception, pure dogfighting strength, ... are all different for each air unit type based on its historical performance.

yes, you distinguish, but only generic. bombers can have many different payloads, many small bombs, good vs soft targets or very heavy bombs vs ships.this varies their performance (speed etc).
this is what i say what all the western games like panzer general are generic counter games.

How judge you the Aichi D3A and the Nakajima B5N.

Aichi: one 250kg bomb
Nakajima: one torpedo or three 250kg bombs.

Panzer Corps and Co have unit stats, with the overall and the average of the performance of the unit, but not the different weapons of the units. For Land units this system work very well and with two closed eyes for ship unit's too. But Aircraft...

I know you make it not different like panzer corps. daisenryaku is differently. They make not the best games in this genre, but their are the best with their weapon systems.

I have buyed Panzer Corps, and i think when you make no worst game, i buy your game too. My hope for me is, it came a game what picked up the best from eastern and western game in ww2 tbs.

Aircraft such as the B5N which could carry either a torpedo or bombs can switch between the two setups in the game (when landed on airfield or carrier). We do not intend to have the complexity level of being able to precisely setup the equipment of units though.

Switching. that sound good. A compromise is better than nothing.

I'm exited too see the game. I hope i'm not the bad guy in this forum.

Not at all! It's always interesting to hear feedback and ideas. We've already adopted a couple of things that were voiced here.

Where units used two very distinct forms of attack, we're trying to include the ability to switch between different 'modes'. Sometimes this applies to land units or naval units, sometimes it applies to air units. As adherbal said, for some air units the switch can only be performed when landed.

Glad to see you will have the switching option in the game. I know in the DMP Pacific mod, you can switch between bombs or torpedoes on some of the planes. They seem to do the same damage though?
