I have the Early version of Rudel. Is there anything special needed to get the later vesion? Do I need to disband the early version or can the both be in my core?

From some recent discussions, if you use the Recon version as and when it suits you, you will miss some messages on his requests for transfer, but you will still get Rudel 2 as long as you deploy in Minsk 41. If you don't deploy Recon Rudel in Minsk 41, Rudel 2 will not appear.

I did get a message about a transfer to a dive bomber being deined. Since he is in a JU87 I was sort of puzzled about that. I'll make sure he is deployed at Minsk. Thanks.

Correct me if I'm wrong as I don't have proof or references, but I believe Germany during WW2 don't have any cloning technology yet. That extra Rudel is possibly THE most unrealistic and bizarre thing in the whole Panzer Corps game. I wish the developer can implement a way to remove the early Rudel hero from the reconnaissance JU87B unit as soon as you get the new Rudel.

Julius Caesar doesn't feature in most of the Shakespeare play, so if Rudel doesn't feature in his own unit I say:
if it's good enough for Shakespeare it's good enough for me!

PS
Good film - Boys from Brazil.

@HeresiarchQin - The good thing is you can disband Rudel 1 for prestige.

Rudel 1 is so useful in a BF-110! Once the soviet steamroller starts, don't expect too much recon cars to help you.... If they even survive!

Hitler's quote would be (to paraphrase Caesar): "I came, I saw, I conquered ... and then I retreated".

Hitler refused to retreat - so it would be more likely:

"I came, I saw, I conquered, I stood there, and I died!"

Or

"I came, I saw, I conquered, I didn't let my Generals retreat and gave them impossible objectives, then I died"

It is unfortunately not SO easy. In all his incompetence Hitler might have saved the Germans a crushing defeat in his "stand at all costs" in the Soviet winter offensive of 1941/1942, where an orderly fighting retreat would have been an extremely difficult task. Sometimes even the idiots get lucky - for Hitler this is true in winter 1941 and in the Ardennes offensive in May 1940.

Maybe change the last part to "I suicided" (I know I said died to start with as well)

"I started a joke, which started the whole world crying,
but I didn't see that the joke was on me, oh no.

I started to cry, which started the whole world laughing,
oh, if I'd only seen that the joke was on me.

I looked at the skies, running my hands over my eyes,
and I fell out of bed, hurting my head from things that I'd said.

Til I finally died, which started the whole world living,
oh, if I'd only seen that the joke was on me.

I looked at the skies, running my hands over my eyes,
