As Hannibal advanced down the Italian peninsula after the victory at the Trebbia, he was shadowed by the consular army of Gaius Flaminius. With another consular army on the way, Hannibal tried to bring Flaminius to battle. On the shores of lake Trasimene, in June 217 BC, he succeeded in a spectacular fashion.

Designer's notes:

Something had to be done about the sad stock scenario on lake trasimene... As per my usual design philosophy,the flow of historical events will be respected but not necessarily the winner in gaming terms.
