Transfer of units "experience" and such stuff?

I can't find it but is some kind of carry over of unit abilities between missions planed or even that some units may receive some kind of medals at the end of a mission?

We aren't planning any carryover missions in the initial game release, but all the carryover logic and editor functionality is still available for modding and future expansions.

Actually - I am wrong! We do have a carryover campaign in production for the full release!
