I have just heard from the factory that they are on schedule to ship arond the 24/25th October. So we should have stock in our hands 26/27th October ready to dispatch to all you advance purchasers. :)

By my reconing that means you will probably have it in your hands up to a week before it arrives in European stores and maybe 2 weeks before it hits the US. :D

I'm looking forward to kicking some butt on line...but then I've been practicing all week

I just drew him into the woods, and battered him with my Hestati (I was playing with one of the default armies)... he whooped me on the other 2 battles tho, i only managed to win one time.

Wouldn't spearmen be the best/cheapest against elephants?

Well if not, I'm guessing triarii with square formation (anti-elephant skill wouldn't hurt either).

Warmaster

Often Light troops were the answer to Elephants, getting in close and attempting to hamstring them.

In the game you can train up your light troops with anti elephant skills.

One of the subtlties is that whils you can see enemy troops and get info from the tool tip. You never get info on the skills they have.

So that innacuious looking skirmisher unit may well be elephant killers
It can come as quite a surprise.
So you need some auxila to support the elephants , then the enemy needs some heavy cav to counter the auxilla and so on
