Look and Feel Comments

I sometimes cringe when going to play a sequel of a game but with BA of course this will not be a real concern
I do have look and feel observations though. And this is after only a very short first impression.

1. I like the map details, it does seem improved to me. Including the planning map features. The points to spend seems out of place and small font though.
2. the fonts overall disturb me. some are small and the font itself seems odd to me coming from BA1. Is this an effect of playing BA1 for so many years?
3. the firepower info diagram seems to bother me. I don't use it! and it is making all the info near it smaller..
4. what is the purpose of the magic colored ring around my units? I wish to make that go away as it reduces the feel of realism for me.
5. some of the unit information has been moved around from BA1, which of course is confusing and does not give me comfort, lol.
6. some of the unit images seems fuzzy to me for example when you are looking at casualties the icons do not appear crisp.

I'll stop there for right now. Does any one else have these effects? It is as if I want my warm blanket of BA1 and only mod BA2 for improvements from there, lol.
Again I think the map improvements hold but some of the UI interface items and the text are disturbing me.. I realize that must sound like whining but look and feel of the original game made it last 10 years and I want my binky

:D

I believe I read in a thread the colored ring shows the effectiveness (spotting, reaction etc) of the unit all directions with green being good and red being worse.

I would also prefer to have the colored ring as an option for newer players. Didn't really find it useful and mostly too distracting.

The ring shows the reaction chances for the unit, and is thus pretty important :)

Same here, I hope it becomes an option I can disable, along with the fire table.. I'd rather learn all these things the intuitive or hard way (If I don't already know I should approach that Tiger from the side or rear)
