Thanks again for the game, which is getting better and better!

I have finished the first scenario in the campaign. Although all the objectives and the achievements fulfilled, the message "Objective failed!" appears at the the end.

Maybe, "capture and hold all the VP's" means to have a unit on each VP?!

:?

YeeeaaaH SMOKE! Now we can have realistic infantry battles!
You guys should retrofit this ability into BA, since it is essential to infantry tactics.

Hi, just downloaded and finished the first mission.

As described above I appear to have eliminated all the enemy with 10 moves to go (as the game automatically ended at that point) but got the "Objective failed" message.

A few other points noted:
1. Some of my soldiers were being mortared and were hit but got the promoted message pop up
2. There is a small black area that flashes up on the top right of the enemy unit picture display (bottom left of screen) when the program is cycling through the units while moving them
3. The firing while I am fast moving warning appeared after a single square move and the move was seeking not fast move
4. (Matter of taste) I find it slightly harder to quickly see the moral and strength of enemy units (bottom right of display) than I did on BA

Checking out the icons with paint.net (doesn't show in photoshop?) the small black square is a piece of the backgound that hasn't been changed into a alpha channel background to maker it disappear. It effects all the soviet tanks, trucks, vehicles and guns, 120mm mortar, DshK - but not the lend lease of infantry and other fighters and 82mm mortar.
There might be others but not spotted them yet
Should an a easy fix for Richard in his spare time

Taken from Game Play changes http://www.slitherine.co.uk/forum/viewt ... c02379cb8a

Green Units
- Untrained units (indicated by a green triangle rank insignia) have less shots, less action points, lower reaction chances, and less morale than a standard unit.
- Green units can become promoted to standard units through combat experience. The Drill Sgt bonus cannot be used to promote a green unit.

Unit Experience
- Units gain an amount of experience towards promotion for destroying enemy units based on the relative value of the units.
- Units also gain a small amount of experience when receiving fire (if not suppressed) or taking an effective (morale-reducing) shot at an enemy.
- A unit's progress towards the next promotion is shown on the unit details panel.

I have now got the objective completed message, so on to the next mission.

(I wonder where the mortar was hiding that time?)
