a flank or not a flank charge?

In dementia land we had some MF in a flank charge position but within 1 mu of some light horse. The MF declared a charge knowing that they could not catch the lh but declared their direction so that bursting through was going to happen for the lh, this involved wheeling. The question being does this cancel it as a flank charge as within 1 mu and there being a wheel involved cheers Dino

Not got the rules to hand but.....

1. If there is a wheel within 1" of target the charge counts as a frontal charge, not flank.
2. If its a frontal charge the LH can evade to their own rear or directly away from charge - their choice.
