FoG 2.0
Tha rule is in page 148 says;" A large piece counts as 2 selections and as 2 towards the maximum of that type, unless it is one of the two compulsory pieces. Compulsory pieces can be chosen as either size."
So I want to place a compulsory piece in large size. Which of the following is correct?
1. That piece counts as 1 selection and 1 towards the maximum of that type.
2.That piece counts as 1 selection and 2 towards the maximum of that type.
3.That piece counts as 2 selection and 1 towards the maximum of that type.
Thanks-Harry

Hi Harry

I think we in the UK have always played it as number 1.

Thank you Rob,
I wanted to know the way you play it, because now comes the more complex question : If I use a hill thas is covered totally with that compulsory item, then since the Hill is (or treated?) as compulsory can I have it as a large size with just 1 count as selection and 1 count towards the maximum of that type?-Harry

Yes - most people in the UK play this the same way. So 1 hill and 1 forest for example.
