I found the, unfortunately, it is possible to click buttons in a very bad sequence that ends up unintentionally taking you to the main menu without saving your game. I recorded a video to show it, as it was easier than trying to describe it.



When this happened to me in an actual game, needles to say I was pretty upset

I reported this bug in this thread:

If you go back from the summary screen using one of the icons below it like you did in the video and then assign people (or do anything else) it crashes out to the menu when you try to go back to the Space Complex view. Dont do anything other than press 'proceed' from that summary screen to avoid this bug for the moment.

Thanks for the additional info, I logged the bug and the programer will look into it.
