Does a wavering unit have to test for being charged if a separate unit's countercharge (not intercept) stops the enemy charge reaching the waverers?

An intercept would cancel the original charge and the wavering unit would not have to test.

However in your example I guess two enemy units, one of which was wavering, were charged.
In this case, I believe the wavering unit would have to test even though they will not be contacted. They are still the target of an assault, so have to react. The exception in the last bullet point under intercept moves does not apply as it is not an intercept, IMO.

in this case the chargers are stopped by a counter charge not an intercept so they still have to test for being charged. Only intercepts can cancel the test for wavering being charged.
