I apologize for this seemingly stupid question but how do I transport ground units across water? The manual says that if a ground unit is next to a friendly port it can move into a transport and move across water hexes. Whenever I have a ground unit next to a friendly sea port and I click on it, there is no option to 'enter a transport' or move across sea hexes. The only allowed moves are into other ground hexes. How is sea transport accomplished?

Click on the transport button, which is next the railroad button. After clicking on the transport button the unit is converted (or loaded) on a transport next to the port. You can then click on the transport itself and move up to 14 hexes per turn.

There is a special button for rail movement and a special button for naval movement in the unitpanel that opens when you click a unit (check the down right corner)
