Naval Transports broken in 1.1.9?

I just started a new game with the latest beta and got to the point where I should have been able to move my units across water tiles, but I couldn't. The transports weren't created to carry my units.

PS: No Naval transport is definitely not working. I started a new game and tried to send the troops that were garrisoned in my home city out to sea after researching the tech but nothing happened.

One of the beta features that has not yet been rolled out to the release version is a change made about "advancements."

Every time you research an advancement (an ability granted faction-wide), you used to get it automatically. Now, researching it only unlocks it. Now you must construct the advancement in a city. Go to any city and add Naval Logistics to your production queue.

You didn't know about this because it's a ways back in the beta update log. Had you been playing the beta all along, you would have been more familiar with the changes. It's nobody's fault.

Also, feel free to post opinions about such beta features. That's what this forum is for. So if you don't like it, it's okay to say so.

Ah, I see. I was wondering why I was seeing the advancement items in my city list, that would explain it. Good. I definitely prefer playing with the beta, I can see some definite improvements there. It was a little disappointing going back the current release version. Thanks for clarifying that for me.

No problem. Any time.

The beta is fun. I like to give feedback about the changes. The developers are active here and make you feel involved in the game evolution even though we're not the ones calling the shots.
