Hi,
What are the base sizes for the various troops (Crusader Knights, turcopoles, pilgrims, spearmen, and crossbowmen)? And how many troops per base?
Many thanks
Paul

Paul,
All bases are 60mm wide (for 25/28mm figures)
Figures per base are:
Knights:___________3 (40mm deep)
Dismounted knights:_4 (20mm deep)
Turcopoles:________2 (40mm deep)
Pilgrims:__________5-8 (40mm deep)
Spearmen:________4 (20mm deep)
Crossbowmen:_____3-4 (30mm deep)
The depth of the bases isn't as important as the 60mm width, and there is usually no objection to players using their heavy foot on bases up to 30mm deep. The depth is only different so that players can tell at-a-glance which are MF and which are HF, and to also maintain some compatability with other rule sets.

The only area where WAB figures can't be simply used on sabot bases is for cavalry, knights and close order foot. In the case of foot you can get away with three WAB based figures for one base of FoG HF. For cavalry and knights where there should be 3 figures on a 60 by 40 base you end up with 2 figures on a 60 by 50 base which can look a bit odd but works just fine.
There are I believe notes in the rules for using figures based for other rules to play FoG

Just wondering - how would you guys go about making sabot bases for using your WAB figures? I know the geometry, but I was thinking of materials and methods.

Get steel bases and the thin magnetic stuff you can get from various companies. Stick the magnets under the figures and plonk them on the metal sabot's
That's what I would do.
